If you love the look of slate but not the price or the weight, DaVinci roof replacement in Staten Island is worth a serious look. DaVinci shingles are made from composite polymer, molded from real slate and shake profiles, so you get the high-end appearance of natural stone with a material that is lighter, more flexible, and easier on an older home’s structure.

Many Staten Island homes were built with framing that cannot safely carry the weight of real slate. A composite slate roof gives you that same classic curb appeal without the engineering headache. These shingles also hold up well against coastal weather and come with some of the strongest warranties in the industry.

One thing to know: composite slate needs a roofer who has installed it before. Ask to see photos of previous composite or DaVinci jobs before you sign anything, and make sure the crew follows the manufacturer’s installation guide so the warranty stays valid.
